Cork Shoes
We use Cork in various components of our shoes, as a material for our uppers, as an ingredient fo our bouncy insoles or even as a heel counter on our lace up sneakers.
Cork is a naturally springy material that can absorb huge amounts of energy, making it a perfect material for shock absorption and our insoles. It is also an exceptional insulator - NASA use it in their rockets!
Cork is made from the bark of the Cork Oak tree, which grows all over Portugal and close to our factory. The harvesting of the bark does not harm the tree and a new layer of Cork quickly regrows, making it an excellent renewable resource.
