Lets Take a PO-ZU (pause) to celebrate

For 4 years now we have had the privilege to collaborate with Disney/Lucasfilm and create covetable collectible shoes inspired by the film’s main characters.

It has been an incredible journey, right from the beginning when we first met to discuss the opportunity, and we thought there was no time like the present to look back and celebrate all that is great about Star Wars x Po-Zu.

Launched on May 4th, officially Star Wars™ Day – Star Wars™ x Po-Zu was ‘the first of its kind’ collaboration – with not only shoes inspired by the films main characters, but with screen accurate styles, suitable for cosplay. We’ve been fortunate to be part of the sequel trilogy Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015),  Episode VIII: The last Jedi (2017) and Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (2019).

We started out in 2017 with the REY, FINN and POE boots, the STORMTROOPER and CHEWIE ankle boots, and the RESISTANCE and BB-8 high-top in advance of The Last Jedi launch, pre-Christmas, December 2017 . In 2018, we followed up with the FALCON, FEEL THE FORCE, KYLO REN, MILLENIUM, PORG, R2-D2, REBEL, REBEL COMBAT, SCAVENGER, SKYWALKER and SQUADRON.

We launched the Han Solo high tops exclusively to celebrate the launch of the stand-alone film, SOLO: A Star Wars Story in 2018.

In 2019, in anticipation of the launch of The Rise of Skywalker, we introduced FIRST ORDER and REY II high tops, X-WING sneakers, RESISTANCE boot and more of our best-selling REY.

In 2020, we launched the REBELLION high tops and the AUREBESH sneaker style.

The Press coverage from one launch to the next has been vast, including key titles such as Jedi News, ComicBook, The Force Guide, The Nerdist, Geek Syndicate, Syfy, The Future of the Force, Fan Girl Blog, Geekmom – to name a few. Celebrities and cast members who wore the shoes included Keith Lemon, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Daniel Logan, Erin Kellyman, Jessica Henwick, Felicia Day, Jo Wood, Ashley Eckstein @heruniverse, Brian Herring, Sam Witwer, Brooklynn Prince, Joelle, Lisa Snowdon, Vanessa @the_life_of_AIVAX, @Nichameleon, @Vamp.

A personal highlight of this collaboration for me has been the discovery and introduction into the world of cosplaying – a diverse and global group of superfans who not only worship the characters and the movies, but bring them to life, in the everyday. I remember attending my first comic-con in 2018 which was a fantastically fun gathering of the good and the great of comic book legend, where the mood could only be described as celebratory.

Disney/Lucasfilm are a fantastic  partner for us – from the beginning there was an enviable synergy between our brands, which is evident across all of our product development. This partnership complements our business in that we are a small independent sustainable footwear brand trying to make a difference, with ambitions to be more global. This collaboration provides a great platform, and you could say the force is with us!

We celebrate the Star Wars™ x Po-Zu 2020 collection and if you haven’t secured your pair yet - act now as styles and sizes are limited, and not to be repeated.

Thank you for your custom and continued support for our footwear and what we do.

We couldn’t do it without you.
