What does Po-Zu mean?
Po-Zu means ‘pause’ in Japanese.

Will my Po-Zu shoes biodegrade while I wear them?
No, our shoes are long lasting, and will biodegrade eventually only if you place them in the ground (think of other natural material such as wood, for instance).

How long will it take for the ‘Foot-Mattress’ to adapt to my own foot shape?
You will notice a difference within one week of wearing your shoes. It depends how frequently you wear them, but it could take weeks or even months to fully adapt to your foot shape.

How long will my Po-Zu shoes last?
It will depend on how often they are worn, and the wearer’s habits… If you treat them kindly, they should last for years.

Do I get a warranty?

How do I recycle my Po-Zu shoes?
If there is still life left in them, we would recommend giving them to a charity: http://www.europeanrecycling.co.uk/erc/
If the shoes are completely worn out and beyond repair, there is no harm in binning them as they will eventually biodegrade.

What is “vegetable-tanned leather”?

May I change the size if the shoes don’t fit?
We would highly recommend reviewing the sizing and fitting tables in the specific style you have selected (please note that the fitting may vary according to the style), and compare them to your own foot measurements before submitting your order. However you could still exchange them for another size if still in stock. Please see our terms and conditions here.

The Po-Zu pair I have received don’t match perfectly, is this normal?
As our shoes are hand made we try our very best to match pairs, though slight variations in colour, texture and markings may occur. These variations are characteristics of genuinely natural products. However if you are not entirely satisfied, you may still be able to return them if you wish. Please see our terms and conditions here.
